The Worst Thing About Nomo

Let’s start with the truth.

The worst thing about Nomo is that it’s very small.
And because it’s small… it’s very easy to lose.

I didn’t realize this at first. I designed Nomo to be minimal, lightweight, something you can always carry with you. Which is great — until you put it down somewhere safe.
You know, one of those places you’ll definitely remember later.

Spoiler: you won’t.

I’ve lost my Nomo on desks, in jackets, between couch cushions, on window sills, and once very confidently “somewhere in the kitchen.”
Every time, I was absolutely sure I knew where it was.
Every time, I was wrong.

At some point, I accepted reality and did the only reasonable thing:
I started carrying more than one.

Now I usually have about three Nomos in rotation. One in my pocket. One somewhere in my bag. And one that’s supposed to be at home.
Sometimes I still forget all of them.

There was even a phase where I’d already be in the car, ready to go, and suddenly realize: no Nomo.
So I’d turn the engine off, run back inside, search for a minute (or five), grab it, and then leave.

Eventually, I learned something important.

Now there is always one Nomo in the car.
Always.

It sounds simple, but it changed everything. No more turning around. No more “I’ll be fine without it” (I won’t). Just knowing it’s there when I need it.

So yes — the worst thing about Nomo is that it’s small and easy to misplace.
But maybe that’s also a good reminder.

If something helps you, keep it close.
And if it really matters to you… maybe keep a spare.
